Color instrument panels with a raised relief for a model of the F/A-18D Hornet in 1:48 scale, in the version with inactive screens.
Responsibility details are not available.
The cockpit of a modern combat aircraft stands or falls with the instrument panel: it is the first place a viewer looks, and at the same time the place where the plastic part from the kit is usually not enough. This set carries panels rendered in color and with a raised relief, so that the controls, the screen bezels and the fine lettering are not merely drawn onto flat paint. It saves you picking out the individual instruments by hand, which in 1:48 scale is several evenings of work. The version marked as inactive screens means that the displays are dark, that is the way they look on a machine with the electrics switched off.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American carrier-borne combat aircraft that handles both fighter and attack duties and serves with more than just the US Navy. The version marked with the letter D is a two-seater, so the cockpit has two separate stations and correspondingly more instruments.
Before applying them, check the instructions to see whether the elements are self-adhesive; the method of application differs between the individual lines and follows the manufacturer's instructions. Clean and degrease the plastic part from the kit before fitting, transfer the element with tweezers and press it down with a soft stick so that it seats in the hollows as well. The exact scope of the set and the procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
A set of cockpit elements is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
