A sheet of technical stencils and warning placards for a model of the Mi-17 helicopter in 1:48. An accessory to the decals from the base kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-17 is a twin-engine multipurpose helicopter derived from the proven Mi-8 line, with a five-blade main rotor, a large cargo cabin and sliding side doors. It serves to carry people and cargo and it remains in service in the armed forces of a good many countries to this day. It is exactly on these machines that a great number of small service placards are scattered over the surface, and they give a finished model a used and convincing look.
A decal sheet in 1:48 devoted solely to technical stencils and warning placards, that is to the marks at filler necks, at service panels and in the places where nobody may walk on the machine. The enclosed instructions show where the individual placards belong.
Apply the placards only onto a finished coat covered with a gloss varnish, or the fine artwork will go white on a matte surface. Work in stages: cut out only as many motifs at a time as you can settle before they start to dry. A brief dip in lukewarm water is enough, as long soaking washes the adhesive away. Transfer the decal with tweezers or a damp brush and straighten it with the tip of the brush, since the tiny film folds over easily with the fingers. Finally varnish the model over, so that the placards blend into the surface.
The set is for modelers who want to take a Mi-17 model down to the detail and are not satisfied with the basic national insignia. The helicopter model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
