3D color instrument panels for the Fw-190D-9 in 1:48 scale from Kits-World are relief decals for the cockpit of the fighter with a V engine.
Responsibility details are not available.
Relief color decals for the cockpit of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in the D-9 version, 1:48 scale. The panels have a raised surface, so once stuck down the instruments look fitted rather than printed. The set is an accessory to a plastic model; it is neither a kit nor a photo-etched set.
The Fw 190D-9 is a late version of the German single-seat Fw 190 fighter in which the original radial engine was replaced by a liquid-cooled V engine. The change showed in a lengthened nose and rear fuselage. The cockpit is narrow and single-seat, and the instrument panel forms the part of it that is most on show; on a model in 1:48 scale it is easy to see under a slid-back canopy.
A relief decal differs from a flat one in having a thickness of its own. The base therefore has to be smooth and gloss, otherwise air will be trapped under the decal and the surface will silver. Cut the decal as close as you can, release it in lukewarm water and seat it on its target surface without needless sliding. Apply the softener drop by drop along the edges and let it work by itself, leaving the decal undisturbed for at least 45 minutes; do not run a brush over the relief, or the raised details will be squashed or torn off. When it is dry, go over the surroundings with matte varnish and leave the dials themselves gloss, so that they read as glass.
This is an accessory for building a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
