A separate sheet of decals in 1:72 scale for a model of the four-engine Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress is an American four-engine heavy bomber with radial engines, deployed in the daylight bombing formations over Europe. It is told apart from the earlier E version by the one-piece nose glazing without transverse framing, through which the crew could see forward with no bars in the way. Machines of this version carried conspicuous formation markings, numbers and personal nose art, so the surface graphics make up a large part of the final impression on a model.
It is a separate decal sheet in 1:72 scale, that is an accessory to a model you already have under construction or finished, not a kit. Which particular machines the sheet covers, what lettering and markings it holds and where the individual elements belong on the model are described in the instructions enclosed in the package. The manufacturer makes several sheets for this subject with different contents, so compare the list of machines in the manufacturer's instructions.
Check the method of application in the instructions before you start work. The base should be smooth, dry and degreased, and a gloss coat of varnish proves its worth under elements meant to be soaked, otherwise the edges will silver once they dry. Cut the elements out with a sharp blade close to the printing, apply large areas in sections and work from the center toward the edges, so that the air is pushed out. The finished model can be given a coat of varnish that blends the edges into the surrounding paintwork.
A decal sheet is supplied. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
