A color printed display base for a model in 1:144 scale, 225 x 225 mm. It shows a dispersal and parking area laid from hexagonal concrete slabs with a radius of 1.8 meters, as used by the air forces of the Soviet Union, the Warsaw Pact states and the People's Republic of China from the 1950s to the early 1970s. It is neither a kit nor a decal but a finished base on which you simply stand the model.
The motif is a continuous grid of hexagons. A radius of 1.8 meters corresponds to roughly 12.5 mm in 1:144 scale, so a great many slabs fit side by side along a 225 mm edge and the structure stays fine even under a small model. The whole 225 x 225 mm area represents about 32 x 32 meters of real surface in this scale, that is a stand for one machine or several, depending on their size.
For modelers in 1:144 scale who build Eastern bloc hardware or hardware of the People's Liberation Army Air Force from the period named, and for anyone who wants to stand a finished model on a believable surface without building the base from scratch.
