Responsibility details are not available.
A round base of acrylic 120 mm in diameter. It is one of the largest formats in common use, suiting large figures, big models, walking machines and scenic tableaux with several figures on one foundation. The material is acrylic according to the name, a cut sheet material with smooth edges, which differs from molded plastic bases in having a flat surface with no rim and in offering a free area for any treatment.
The base can be used straight away, with only a figure stuck on, or as the foundation of a scene. Acrylic is smooth, so roughen the surface with abrasive paper and degrease it before applying texture paste; otherwise the layer cracks and peels off once dry. For gluing a model, cyanoacrylate or two-part epoxy proves its worth, holding more reliably on a smooth surface. If you want to keep the transparent or colored effect of the material, leave the surface bare and limit the scenic work to the edge; a translucent foundation then becomes part of the look itself. The designation in the name refers to the game system the manufacturer designed the format for.
Acrylic is sensitive to solvents: aggressive thinners and some cleaners will dull or attack the surface. A damp cloth is enough for cleaning. If there is a protective film on the material, take it off only just before use, so that the surface is not scratched.
