Preparing the base on scenic surfaces
Scenic bases tend to be a mixture of materials - plaster, modeling compounds, plastic, wood and sand - and each of them draws paint in differently. That is exactly why it pays to even the surface out first. Consolidate loose and crumbling areas, clear away free particles and let them dry completely; acrylic soaks unevenly into a damp base and the result then looks blotchy. A primer laid over the whole object levels the absorbency so that the paint behaves the same everywhere.
For modelers who work on scenic bases and want a particular shade from the AK interactive range in a semi-gloss version. The sixty-milliliter bottle allows for the fact that larger areas use up more paint than a model on its own. Which subject the shade is meant to stand for is worth checking against the manufacturer's color chart.
Do not inhale the aerosol created while spraying, and work at an extraction unit or in the open. Close the bottle after use, keep it out of the reach of children and follow the instructions on the label.
