Fabric restraint belts Bf 109K-4 1:24 are an add-on set of realistic microfiber belts with photo-etched buckles for a detailed rendering of the pilot's seat.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on detail set from the maker HGW, not an airplane model. The set replaces the unremarkable plastic or photo-etched belts in the cockpit of kits for Bf 109K-4 models in 1:24 scale. It contains belts of printed microfiber, which behaves like real cloth, in combination with photo-etched metal buckles.
The Bf 109K-4 was the last large-series version of the German fighter from the end of the Second World War. Seat belts are among the most visible elements of an open cockpit, and a plastic rendering looks flat. Microfiber belts can be bent, threaded through buckles and left hanging loosely over the seat, so they faithfully imitate cloth. The material stands up to the usual gentle modeling products and takes filters and washes as well.
Thread the belts through the photo-etched buckles and fix them with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Set the assembled belts into the seat; you can repaint them with acrylic or enamel and seal them first with gloss and then with matte varnish. Work with a sharp knife and tweezers.
An add-on set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
