The Jagdpanzer 38 is a German light tank destroyer from the last year of the Second World War, also known under the name Hetzer. It was built on a chassis derived from the Panzer 38(t) and received a low closed superstructure with sloped armor and no rotating turret. Small and easy to build, the machine was made in large numbers at the close of the war. It inherited its running gear from the subject it was based on: four large wheels on each side, sprung on leaf springs.
The wheels in a kit tend to be simplified in shape and their version need not match the machine you are building. The wheels, meanwhile, changed during production: the number and the kind of fasteners on the rim differed, and so did the width of the collar at the hub. This set carries one particular variant, the wheel with thirty-two bolts around the rim and a wider collar. According to the name it is sized for one kit and it is aimed at Dragon kits with the numbers 6030, 6037 and 6060. How many pieces the package holds is stated by the manufacturer.
The choice of glue follows the material of the parts: cement for plastic models on polystyrene, cyanoacrylate glue on parts of another material. Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder back, so that you do not cut into the shape of the rim. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Fit the wheels only after the underside of the hull is painted, as the running gear is then far easier to reach with a brush. If the parts have a flattened spot on the tire molded in, it has to face the ground.
The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
