Replacement road wheels for a model of the Jagdpanzer 38 tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. The name gives the particular version: a wheel with sixteen rivets on the disc and a narrow collar. The extent matches one kit and according to the name the set is meant for the Dragon 6030, 6037 and 6060 kits. Wheels in a kit tend to be softly shaped and the rivets on them blur together, yet it is on the wheels that most of the work shows on a finished model.
The Jagdpanzer 38 was a German light tank destroyer on a chassis derived from the Pz.Kpfw. 38(t), built at the close of the Second World War and known by the nickname Hetzer. It was made in large numbers and at more than one plant, so the small details of the running gear differed from one machine to the next. The wheel discs appeared with rivets as well as with bolts, and in versions with a narrower or a wider collar, which is why the sets are offered separately by individual variant.
If the parts are not polystyrene, ordinary modeling cement has no effect on them; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder back on abrasive paper laid on a flat board. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, let them dry and lay on the base color. Fit the wheels only after checking that they all sit in the same plane, otherwise the model will not sit flat on its base. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
