1:32 F-4E/J Phantom II, a set of J79 engine exhaust nozzles is a resin replacement for the rear ends of the engines on Phantom models in 1:32 scale. It is a detailing accessory, not a kit of the aircraft.

The set replaces the exhaust nozzles of the power plants on a model of the F-4 Phantom II in the E and J versions in 1:32 scale. The nozzles are among the places where the difference between plastic and resin shows best: a real nozzle is made up of thin overlapping petals, which on injection-molded plastic are thickened and simplified for the sake of the mold. A resin replacement keeps them thin and correctly stepped, which tells immediately on the tail of a large model.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is an American two-seat twin-engine combat aircraft that became one of the most widespread Western types of the second half of the twentieth century. It was powered by General Electric J79 engines with afterburners, whose exhaust nozzles with movable petals make up a characteristic feature of the aircraft's tail. The E version was multirole with a built-in cannon, the J version served with the navy; both used engines of the same family, which is why the set is intended for both.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw; on ring-shaped parts cut around the circumference and then true the surface up on sanding paper laid on a flat board, otherwise the nozzle will sit crooked. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand wet and with respiratory protection. Painting: a primer, a darker metallic base and then a fine shading of the individual petals; bring the overheated areas out with thin coats of clear tinted lacquer and finish with graphite.
The set is an accessory, not a kit of the whole aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
