An injection-molded plastic kit from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov. It is the boxed version aimed at machines operated outside Britain, which sets it apart from the other releases of the same aircraft. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Scottish Aviation Bulldog is a British two-seat basic trainer with a piston engine and side-by-side seating. In design it grows out of the Beagle Pup light sport aircraft, it first flew at the end of the 1960s and it was produced in series in Scotland. Its hallmarks are the fixed nosewheel landing gear, the full bubble canopy with an excellent view and full aerobatic agility, thanks to which it suited the training of advanced maneuvers as well. Besides British training the Bulldog reached a whole range of foreign operators in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and it is to those machines that this release is devoted.
A small two-seat aircraft in 1:72 stands or falls by the cockpit and the canopy. Paint the interior and let it dry before you glue the fuselage together, dry-fit the fuselage and wing joints and glue with a thin cement for plastic that wicks into the seam by capillary action. The clear canopy is best masked with tape or a ready-made mask and varnished only once the base color is on. Given the pronounced single-color areas and the striking warning stripes, an airbrush and a quality primer pay off; apply the decals over a gloss undercoat and even the whole model out at the end with a matte or semi-matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
