A British wicker seat with a full back 1:48, the low as well as the tall form with a small leather pad, is a resin accessory for the cockpit, not a kit of an aircraft. It replaces the simplified plastic part with a faithfully detailed weave.

A resin accessory for the cockpit of British aircraft. It is not a kit of an airplane but a replacement part of the interior: the set brings a seat with a full, unpierced back, and that in the low as well as the tall form, both with a small leather pad on the top edge.
In an injected kit the seat tends to be cast as a thick-walled shell with a coarsely suggested woven pattern, with a mold seam across the back and with a solid lower part, because a steel mold cannot do undercut shapes. The resin replacement is cast as one whole, has a thin top edge, a fully detailed weave around the circumference as well as on the inner side of the back and a legibly separated leather pad. The difference is seen best with open cockpits, where there is a direct view into the seat.
First wash the castings in warm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry thoroughly. The remains of the release agent from the mold are invisible, but they will reliably ruin the adhesion of the primer as well as of the glue. On a small part in this scale use a soft brush and never a wire brush. Only onto a clean and dry casting apply a thin coat of primer, which will at the same time reveal any bubbles in the surface. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, as ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on resin.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit in its own right. The parts are supplied unpainted; glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
