A masking set in 1:48 for a model of the Argentine IA-58 Pucará attack aircraft from the maker Kinetic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The IA-58 Pucará is an Argentine twin-engined attack aircraft made for the direct support of ground troops and for counterinsurgency work. It is built for operating from short and unprepared strips, has a pronounced tall fin, a long glazed canopy for a crew of two and tandem seating. It is exactly that large glazing that makes the most work when painting, which is why a masking set pays off on this type.
This is a set of single-use masks, cut to the shape of the parts of a particular kit. According to the name it is made for the IA-58 Pucará model from the maker Kinetic. Which surfaces the set covers, that is whether only the frames of the glazing or the wheels and other places as well, is given in the instructions supplied with the set.
The surface has to be clean, dry and degreased before a mask is stuck on. Lift the mask off its backing, seat it in place and press the edges down firmly, so that paint does not run underneath. Apply the paint in thin coats, as a heavy layer makes a step at the edge. Remove the mask shortly after spraying, before the clear coat has fully cured, and pull it at an angle across the edge rather than straight up.
For anyone who builds the Pucará and does not want to trace the cockpit frames with tape millimeter by millimeter. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
