1:35 Waffen-SS tankers set

German tankers in 1:35

A set of figures of German Waffen-SS tankers in 1:35, that is in the same size in which most models of ground equipment are built. How many figures the package contains and what poses they are in is given in the manufacturer's instructions.

Why a crew belongs with a tank model

A vehicle on its own always reads a little like an exhibit on a stand. As soon as a person is standing beside it or looking out of it, the model gains both scale and action: a viewer sees how tall a tank really was, and the scene begins to tell a story. Tankers are also useful for filling open hatches, which otherwise gape empty and give away that there is no interior behind them. An adult figure measures about five centimeters in this scale, so both the face and the small equipment stand out on it.

Building and painting tips

• Try the seating of the figures dry; with hatches that goes double.
• Cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and sand the face down.
• Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and degrease them.
• Paint in thin coats, as a heavy coat will flood the features of a face.
• Bring the folds out with a darker glaze and the raised places with a lighter shade.
• A glue suitable for the material used is given in the manufacturer's instructions.

What the delivery contains

This is a set of figures, not a model of a vehicle. The paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The detailed contents of the package are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
