A set of resin figures in 1:35 from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. The word set means that the package contains several figures of one subject. It is not a vehicle kit; the set serves as an add-on to a finished model or as the basis of a diorama of its own.
Execution and composition. The figures wear the light tropical cut of the uniform, that is a loose jacket and long trousers with large, fairly smooth areas of cloth. The poses are designed as a connected action around the handling of ammunition: the stances complement one another, so the figures do not stand in isolation but form one readable scene at the rear of a vehicle or at an open hatch. The set is therefore a way of putting a composition together from poses that were conceived for each other, rather than from single poses chosen separately.
Wash all the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap first — a residue of mold release agent is the most common cause of paint peeling off. Separate the casting blocks with a fine saw or a knife and sand the faces down wet with your airways protected. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). With a multi-figure set it pays to lay the figures out dry on a base first and only then decide on the final placement and on cutting part of the base away.
Painting. Work on all the figures in parallel and mix the shades of the skin and the uniform up in reserve — a differing tone on two figures side by side is more conspicuous on a finished scene than any mistake in a detail. After the primer, lay the base color down, lighten the edges of the folds and bring the shadow in with a glaze. Small differences between the figures (a slightly more faded jacket, a shadow set differently) will on the contrary do the scene good. At the end knock the gloss down with a matte clear coat, so that the figures match the surface of the model.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
