A separate resin figure in 1:35 from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle kit but a figure for an already built model. The name states which type of tank the pose is carried for — the figure is designed for the commander's hatch of the turret of the Panther tank, so the stance and the turn of the body reckon with the shape and the height of that opening.
Execution. The attribute Normandy in the name refers to the summer execution of the clothing, that is to a lighter cut without winter layers. The figure has the typical stance of a commander in a hatch: the torso upright, the shoulders turned slightly, the arms resting on the edge of the turret. It is exactly the resting on the hatch that decides how convincing it is — the figure therefore has to be tried dry in precisely the model it will go into.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap, separate the casting block with a fine saw or a knife and sand the face down wet with your airways protected. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The key step is the dry fit: seat the figure in the hatch, check the height of the shoulders above the edge and adjust the lower edge of the casting if need be. Paint only after that, but still before the final fitting — once it is in the hatch you can no longer reach the back and the sides of the figure.
Painting. After the primer, lay the base shade of the clothing down and work with light on the edges of the folds; with light summer cloth the shadow holds more sharply. The face is the most exposed place on the whole figure with a commander, because that is exactly where the viewer's eye will go — build it from the base tone of the skin through thin glazing up to the eyes and the shadows under the cheekbones. Leave the metal accessories semi-matte and bring the rest together with a matte clear coat. Match the dust and the weathering of the figure to the vehicle, so that the figure and the model look like one scene.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
