A separate figure of an American tanker in a one-piece work coverall, cast in resin in 1:35, from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle kit but an add-on to a finished model: you fit the figure into a hatch, stand it on a cargo bed or beside a vehicle in a vignette. The number in the name tells a variant apart — the items No. 1 and No. 2 are two different figures of the same line, not two packages of the same thing. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The casting is divided into the torso with the coverall, the head, the arms and the small items of equipment. A one-piece coverall is rewarding from the painting point of view: it has a continuous area without a transition between the jacket and the trousers, but plenty of soft folds around the waist, the elbows and the knees. The mold seam lines are carried along the sides of the figure and along the inner side of the limbs, and each part is held on a casting block. The pockets, the zipper and the belt are brought out as raised relief.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting block off with a saw away from the detail, sand the face down and protect your airways while sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a thin primer. A coverall tempts you into a flat result, so go at it in coats: the base shade, a dark wash into the folds around the waist and in the armpits, then a lighter tone with a drybrushed stroke on the knees, the shoulders and the edges of the sleeves. Suggest the wear on the knees and the elbows with a light dry brush, not with a hard boundary. Build the skin from a middle tone toward a glaze and lighter strokes. Leave the leather accessories darker with a satin sheen, while the cloth stays matte. Finally bring the surface together with a matte clear coat.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
