A multi-figure set of American tankers in one-piece work coveralls, cast in resin in 1:35, from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. The word set in the name means that the package brings several figures together; the same coverall figures are also listed individually under sequence numbers in the line. It is not a vehicle kit but an add-on to a finished model and the basis of a vignette. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The figures are cast in parts: the torso with the coverall, the head, the arms and the small items of equipment separately. A coverall is a continuous garment without a break at the waist, so what decides is the work with the folds at the waist, in the armpits and on the knees. The mold seam lines run along the sides of the figure and along the inner side of the limbs, and each part is held on a casting block. The pockets, the zipper and the belt are brought out as raised relief.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw away from the detail, sand the faces down and protect your airways while sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a thin primer. Paint all the figures at the same time: mix the base shade of the coveralls up at once, put a dark wash into the folds and lighten the knees, the shoulders and the edges of the sleeves with a dry brush. Handle the wear on the exposed places with soft transitions. Build the skin from a middle tone through a glaze up to lighter strokes. Leave the leather accessories darker than the cloth and with a fine satin; the clothing stays matte. When the figures build a scene together, watch the height and the turn as well — lay them out dry on the model before you glue anything for good. At the end bring the surface together with a matte clear coat.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
