StuG commander is a resin figure of the commander of the StuG assault gun in 1:35 from the maker PANZER ART, meant for fitting out the hatch of a finished model.

A separate figure of the commander of the StuG assault gun, cast in resin in 1:35, from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle kit but an add-on to a finished model: the figure is built for the commander's hatch, or else for the superstructure or beside the vehicle in a vignette. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The casting is divided into the torso with the clothing, the head, the arms and the small items of equipment. With a commander figure only the upper half of the body shows above the hatch, so makers carry the mold seam lines in such a way that the remains of the casting blocks fall in places covered by the vehicle. The other seam lines run along the sides of the figure and along the inner side of the limbs. The cut of the jacket, the collar, the buttons and the straps and harness are brought out as raised relief.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap and rid it of the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw away from the detail, sand the face down and protect your airways while sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a thin primer. Before you glue the figure for good, try it dry in the hatch and sand the bottom of the torso down as needed, so that it seats without a gap. Carry the painting from the top down: build the face from a middle tone through a darker glaze in the eye sockets and under the chin up to lighter strokes on the nose and the cheekbones. Start the clothing with the base shade; a dark wash will bring the folds out and a dry brush will support the edges. Leave the leather accessories darker and with a fine gloss, and the cloth matte. Finally bring the surface together with a matte clear coat, so that the traces of the wash are not lost under an uneven gloss.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
