For a modeler what matters is that infantry dress has a different division of the areas from a tanker's: a longer jacket, a belt with pouches, a helmet and more small details that are picked out one by one when painting.
A casting of casting resin tends to be divided into several parts because of the undercuts at the arms, the head and the equipment; the mold seam lines run along the natural edges of the clothing, so that they can easily be cleaned up once glued. The material does not bond with cement for plastic. The figure serves as an add-on to a vehicle model, as part of a diorama scene or as an object to be painted in its own right.
Wash the parts in warm water with dish soap — without removing the mold release agent the paint will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a cutting disc, never break it off, and sand the face down; protect your airways while sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate), fill the seams and apply a primer. If the casting carries a camouflage pattern, handle it as a purely painting task: first a continuous ground, then the individual patches with a thin brush and thinned paint from the lighter ones to the darker ones, and only at the end the shading of the folds, so that the pattern does not merge with the ground. Pick out the small leather and metal parts separately. Apply a gloss intermediate coat before the washes and the pigments, and knock the gloss down at the end with a matte clear coat.
