An accessory from the Polish manufacturer PANZER ART for the Soviet T-28 and T-35 multi-turret tanks in 1:35 scale. It replaces the gun mantlet together with the short KT-28 gun. The casting captures the surface texture and the shape of the mantlet more accurately than injection-molded plastic, on which this element is usually simplified because of the mold parting line.
The T-28 and the T-35 were Soviet multi-turret tanks of the 1930s, built on the idea of the time that a heavy machine should fire in several directions at once. The main turret carried a short 76 mm gun intended above all to destroy fortifications and to support infantry, while the smaller turrets had machine guns. The fighting of 1941 showed that the concept was a dead end.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces. Try the fit in the turret dry and only then bond with super glue. Bring the cast texture out with a dark wash and dry brushing. Soviet green looks better if you play it up with a shade lighter tone on the horizontal surfaces.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
