Metal ammo boxes for the MG 34 and MG 42 machine guns in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. Twelve pieces in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cast ammunition boxes for the German MG 34 and MG 42 machine guns in 1:35 scale. The package contains twelve pieces. Ammunition and its containers are among the most effective additions in a diorama: they tell the story of what happened in a place, and a handful of them fills a firing position that would otherwise look empty.
The MG 34 and MG 42 machine guns formed the core of the firepower of a German infantry squad. The ammunition was carried to them in sheet metal boxes with an unmistakable shape and a folding handle; the crew carried several and the empty ones piled up at the firing position. The shape of the box stayed essentially the same throughout the war.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces. Place the boxes irregularly, some open and some turned over. Paint them a dark gray-green and rub the edges back to bare metal with a sponge. Apply a dark wash into the seams and dust the lower part with pigment according to the terrain the scene stands in.
The set is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
