ELEFANT 1:35 Grossdeutschland vehicles insignia is a decal sheet with divisional vehicle markings in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet from ELEFANT with the unit markings of the vehicles of the German Grossdeutschland formation in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit nor a resin part - it is a set of markings with which you complete a finished model of a vehicle built from another box, or with which you replace original decals that are no longer in good order.
Grossdeutschland was a formation of the German army that grew during the Second World War from a regiment into a division and was used mostly on the Eastern Front. Its vehicles carried their own unit markings, which appear in photographs on the fenders, the hull and the turret. Those are exactly the markings the sheet covers; their particular form and extent are given by the contents of the sheet.
Markings on vehicles tend to sit on a broken-up surface, so the base matters. Spray the spot with gloss clear varnish, cut the decal out close to the print and dip it briefly in lukewarm water. Once it slides off the paper, settle it with a soft brush, blot the water away and draw it over rivets, welds and into the engraved joints with a decal softener. After it has dried through, seal the area with matte varnish and only then carry on with the weathering - washes and pigments then act on the markings as well and they do not stay optically stuck on top.
This is a decal set, not a model. The kit, paints, varnish and decal softener are not included in the package.
