Black Dog 1:35 Ukrainian soldier No. 2 is a resin figure of a modern Ukrainian soldier in 1:35 scale, intended as an accessory for dioramas and display scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling figure of a modern Ukrainian soldier in 1:35 scale from Black Dog. It is not a vehicle or aircraft kit but a separate accessory that brings a diorama or a display scene to life. The figures of this brand are cast in modeling resin, so the casting holds sharp detail of the gear and of the folds of the clothing. Assembly and painting are, however, somewhat more demanding than with injection-molded plastic.
The figure shows a soldier in current field gear. The 1:35 scale has long been the standard for models of ground vehicles, so the figure can be combined with vehicles, guns and groundwork accessories in the same scale without any conversion. The particular pose, weapons and number of parts follow from the particular casting and are shown on the packaging.
Wash the parts first in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent to remove the mold release agent left from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a scalpel and sand the parting seams down; protect your airways while sanding resin. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), as ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin. Apply a primer before painting, which will also show up any remaining surface flaws. Build the uniform up from several thin coats of acrylic, finish the face and hands last and even the surface out with a matte varnish.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
