Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Heller captures the German single-engine high-wing utility aircraft Dornier Do 27 and its Spanish license-built version, the CASA C-127. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with a decal sheet for several schemes. The box allows the aircraft to be built in civil or military guise according to the decals chosen.
The Dornier Do 27 was one of the first production aircraft of postwar West Germany. The sturdy high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear stood out for its short takeoff and landing ability, and it was used for liaison, observation and transport duties. In Spain it was built under license by CASA as the C-127. The aircraft served with a number of air arms and in the civil sector, and its simple design gave it a long life.
Paint and finish the cabin interior and the glazing frames before closing up the fuselage, because the large windows let the finished detail show. Bond the plastic with a thin cement, fill the seams and sand them back. Mask the glazing and lay the paint on with an airbrush over a primer. We recommend gluing the fixed landing gear and the struts on only after the fuselage has been painted.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
