CH-34 Choctaw / Westland Wessex weighted wheels (1:72) is a resin set of replacement wheels with realistically flattened tires from Armory for helicopters of this family.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Armory replaces the wheels on models of the CH-34 Choctaw helicopter in its army version and of the related British Westland Wessex in 1:72 scale. The wheels have realistically flattened (weighted) tires, which give the impression of a machine standing on the ground under its own weight. It is not a model but a refining accessory.
The standard wheels from plastic kits tend to be round and without any flattening. A resin replacement with a compressed tread and a fine impression of the profile noticeably raises the realism of the landing gear, which shows well on a helicopter. The CH-34 (Sikorsky S-58) served with many armed forces, and the Westland Wessex was built from it under British license.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; the tires are usually toned in a matte dark gray with the wear of the tread picked out.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without glue. It is not a standalone model but a set of replacement wheels.
