A modeling bust in 1:10 scale, meant to be assembled and painted. The bust format lets you concentrate on the face and the expression of the figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
A bust is a model of a figure captured from the chest up. It does not have to share attention with a whole figure, and so it allows you to work with the expression of the face, the direction of the gaze and the material of the clothing in far more detail than a small figure does. The 1:10 scale is among the most widespread for busts: the figure comes out large enough for fine transitions of shade and yet it still fits an ordinary display cabinet.
This is a bust in 1:10 scale from a collector range of figure models. It is supplied unpainted, so the final appearance depends on how you treat it; the exact composition of the package and the number of parts are stated by the manufacturer on the box.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the primer will not hold. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down carefully, then fill the seams and sand them over, so that no shadow of them is left on the finished paintwork. The suitable glue and the particular preparation procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Apply thinly and in coats, start from the deepest places and work out to the raised ones. Always try the paint first on a hidden area, because in this scale every uneven application shows. Leave the face until last, when you have already tried out the overall balance of colors on a less conspicuous area.
The bust is for modelers and figure painters who want to practice skin tones and work with expression, and for collectors of figure models for a cabinet.
A bust is supplied. Paints, brushes and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
