An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet IS-7 heavy tank in 1:100 scale from Zvezda. It is a snap-fit model whose parts fit together and which can be assembled even without glue. The smaller scale and the quick build make the model suited to wargaming and to collecting; the model is meant to be assembled and, if you wish, painted.
The IS-7 was designed at the end of the 1940s as an exceptionally heavy Soviet tank with a powerful 130mm gun and heavy armor. Only a few prototypes were built, because the vehicle was too heavy and too complicated for series production. Even so it remains one of the most massive Soviet tank projects of its time.
Separate the parts carefully from the sprues and clean them up. The snap-fit joints hold on their own, but the places can still be glued for a permanent join. For the best result we recommend a primer, a base shade with an airbrush and fine washes and dry brushing, which bring out the details in a small scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
