A simplified snap-fit kit of the Soviet KV-1 Mod.1940 heavy tank in 1:100 scale from Zvezda, from the Art of Tactic range. The model is made up of only a few parts that click together without glue, and they still keep the massive silhouette of a heavy tank with a long gun. The turret rotates. The package usually holds a base with a flag and a unit card for the Art of Tactic tabletop game. Suitable for wargamers and collectors alike.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank named after the defense minister Kliment Voroshilov. The 1940 version carried a 76 mm gun and became famous for its exceptionally thick armor, which at the start of the German invasion was practically immune to the 37 mm anti-tank guns then in common use. German crews often found that their weapons could not stop this tank.
You will build the model in a few minutes without glue, and you can reinforce the joints with a drop of super glue. Lay down a light base and the basic green shade, then pick out the edges and rivets with a dry brush. A dark wash in the recesses and fine dust pigments on the running gear will give even a small heavy tank the right sense of weight.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
