The Soviet heavy tank KV-2(b) as a resin set in 1:100 scale from the brand Zebrano. A legendary colossus with a tall turret.
Responsibility details are not available.
This small cast set from the brand Zebrano brings one of the most conspicuous combat machines of the Second World War. The tall angular turret makes a striking item of the model even at a small size, so it stands out among the other vehicles on a tabletop battlefield and in a display case alike.
The tank with the large turret arose from the heavy vehicle of the KV series and carried a howitzer of 152 mm caliber. Against fortifications and immobile targets its destructiveness was exceptional, except that the turret weighed so much that the traverse drive practically jammed on uneven terrain and the machine became an easy target. Its tall silhouette also gave it away at a great distance. Compared with the later types only a few of these vehicles came into being, and the Soviet army lost most of them during the fighting of 1941, often because of breakdowns and a lack of fuel rather than to gunfire.
Before gluing, check how the hull and the turret seat against each other and level any step on a sanding board. Remove the remains of the casting faces so that the running gear stands level; otherwise the model will visibly rock on its base. Choose the paint in a shade of dark olive green, lighten the edges and dust the lower hull, so that at such a small scale the volume shows at all.
The goods are supplied unassembled and without a surface finish, so secure paints and glue separately.
