A plastic kit of the Soviet SU-100 tank destroyer in 1:100 scale from Zvezda. The models of this line are designed to be easy, with parts arranged to be assembled by snapping together (snap-fit) with no need for glue. The quick build and the small format make the model a practical choice for tabletop games as well as for a collection.
The SU-100 was a Soviet tank destroyer from the later phase of the Second World War, built on the chassis of the T-34 tank. It carried a powerful 100 mm gun able to destroy even heavy German tanks and became one of the most effective Soviet self-propelled guns of its day. It stayed in the armament of a number of armies long after the war.
The small scale allows a quick build; the joints can be secured with a drop of plastic cement. A base (primer), a base coat and bringing out the detail with a wash and a dry brush all work well. Dust and mud pigments will bring the running gear and the lower parts to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
