Responsibility details are not available.
Normandie-Niemen was a unit of French fighter pilots who decided to fight alongside the Soviet Air Force on the Eastern Front during the Second World War. They flew machines of Soviet production and their service belongs among the most commemorated chapters of Allied cooperation in the east. Roland de la Poype was one of the pilots of this unit and his machine is the subject of this kit.
Among airplanes, 1:32 scale belongs to the larger formats. A finished model takes up more room in a display case than the usual smaller scales, but in return you really can see into the cockpit and into the landing gear bays, so it pays to give them time. Larger parts at the same time forgive less in the way of imprecise fit: dry fitting, sanding the mating surfaces and patient filling all pay off here.
Before gluing, remove the surplus material and the marks of production from the parts and try the assembly dry. The large surfaces of the wings and the fuselage call for an even coat in several light layers, best of all with an airbrush. The color scheme and the markings of the machine are given in the instructions enclosed with the kit. With machines used on the Eastern Front it pays to work with wear sparingly, because exaggerated chipping tends to flatten a large model.
Paints, glue and putty are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
