Xtradecal USAFE, part 2 – EF-111, F-111F and A-10A 1:72

A waterslide decal sheet from Xtradecal in 1:72 scale devoted to the aircraft of the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE). The second part of the collection offers markings for the EF-111 Raven electronic warfare aircraft, the F-111F Aardvark variable-sweep strike aircraft and the A-10A Thunderbolt II attack aircraft. It is not a kit but a set of markings for building after a particular historical subject.

The real subject

The F-111 series served in Europe as powerful strike and electronic warfare machines with a variable-sweep wing. The A-10A Thunderbolt II, by contrast, is a slow, tough attack aircraft for close support of ground forces, famous for its powerful cannon. All three types were among the backbone of the American air force stationed in Europe during the Cold War.

Use

• Applying the markings to finished and painted EF-111, F-111F or A-10A models.
• The decals go on from water onto a gloss base coat and are sealed with a flat varnish once dry.
• The unit and the particular aircraft can be chosen from the instructions.
