Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya captures the Yamaha XV1000 Virago road motorcycle in 1:12 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. In the box you will find parts molded in black and silver, chrome-plated and clear parts, small screws, springs and brake lines as well as a decal sheet. The combination of materials makes it possible to build a faithful replica even without advanced added detail.
The Yamaha Virago was a line of cruisers of American cut with a low seating position, pulled-back handlebars and forward-set footrests. The XV1000 was powered by an air-cooled V-twin of almost a liter, and the power was transmitted by an enclosed drive shaft instead of a chain, which is typical of this kind of motorcycle and undemanding to maintain.
With motorcycles the order of assembly and a smooth glossy finish on the tank and the fenders are what count. Glue the chrome-plated parts carefully with cyanoacrylate so that the surface is not dulled. The engine, the frame and the exhausts deserve toning with metallic shades and a fine wash. Brake lines and small screws will give the finished replica scale fidelity.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
