A small resin kit of the streamlined tanker truck Doodlebug Texaco in the railroad scale 1:120 (TT) from the Czech manufacturer Hauler. This finely cast resin kit, as a rule completed with photo-etched parts (for example small interior details and mirrors), is intended for more experienced modelers. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package, follow the enclosed instructions.
The Doodlebug was a streamlined advertising tanker truck of the American brand Texaco from the middle of the 1930s. Only a few examples of this streamlined tanker were built, which in art deco style promoted fuels and became an icon of the design of its day. The rounded shapes and the unusual silhouette make it a rewarding and decorative subject today, for collectors and for dioramas on period themes.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding. A body with smooth surfaces comes out well with gloss varnish: spraying over a primer and gentle polishing between coats is ideal. Apply the advertising colors and lettering carefully; at a small scale, work sparingly so that the detail does not disappear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
