A small resin kit of the German StuH 42 Ausf.G assault howitzer with a 10.5 cm howitzer in the railway scale 1:120 (TT) from the Czech maker Hauler. The finely cast resin kit, as a rule supplemented with photo-etched parts, is meant for more experienced modelers. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package follow the enclosed instructions.
The StuH 42 was the howitzer variant of the StuG III assault gun, built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. Instead of the 7.5 cm gun it carried a 10.5 cm howitzer, so as to destroy field fortifications, machine gun nests and infantry more effectively. It shared the low turretless silhouette with the basic StuG III and was committed above all for direct fire support. The vehicle came about as a complement to the anti-tank oriented assault guns.
Wash the resin parts clean of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding. Finish the running gear before you close up the hull. Spray over a primer, build the weathering with thin washes into the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects; fit the small photo-etched parts and the howitzer barrel at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
