The starter set (model set) contains an injection-molded plastic model of the German battleship Bismarck in the small scale of 1:1200 along with basic paints, a brush and glue. The small scale gives a compact model suitable even for a smaller display case; as a rule a stand and markings are enclosed as well.
Bismarck was one of the largest battleships of the Kriegsmarine in the Second World War. She became famous for the fire of her main guns and for the fateful sortie in May 1941, during which she was sunk after a dramatic pursuit. To this day she ranks among the best known warships of all.
In this scale the parts are tiny - separate them carefully with a cutter and glue them with modeling cement for plastic. Paint the hull and the decks in coats and stir the enclosed paints thoroughly. The fine detail of the superstructures will stand out with light shadow highlighting. Seat the finished model on the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. In this starter set the basic paints, the brush and the glue are part of the package; further accessories are not.
