Grass foliage in the shades of dry summer grass, intended for dioramas, display cases and bases under models.
Responsibility details are not available.
Grass foliage from the AMMO of Mig Jimenez range for building terrain on a diorama, on a base under a model or on a small display-case scene. The shade matches dry summer growth, the sun-bleached yellow-brown grass of late summer, when the vegetation has been burned by the sun. It suits any scene that should look dry and hot, from southern Europe through steppe country to field tracks and the edges of airfields.
Prepare the surface first and paint it in a color close to the finished grass, so that no bare patch shows through. The foliage is fixed with thinned PVA glue or with a glue intended for scenery, which is spread over the area and the foliage is laid or sprinkled into it. Once dry, shake or vacuum off the excess carefully. Layering pays off: apply it in sections and let the ground show through here and there, because a uniform carpet looks artificial.
A natural impression comes from mixing several shades and lengths of growth and adding small debris, pebbles and soil. Let the grass thin out along tracks and vehicle ruts, and grow thicker along fences and walls, where neither mower nor foot reaches it. Dry growth sits well with dusty weathering on the model, so the same pigments you use on the vehicle can be worked lightly into the grass to tie the scene together visually.
The package contains grass foliage. A base, glue, paints and other scenic materials are not included, unless stated otherwise.
