Static grass is made of short dyed fibers with which grass growth is built up on a diorama. The 6 mm length is one of the taller ones: it suits uncut field margins, the edges of fields, overgrown ditches and neglected areas around buildings, where the grass should reach above the rim of a vehicle wheel. The dry grass shade matches vegetation at the end of summer and in the fall, when the growth has dried out into yellowish, straw-colored tones.
First coat the area with glue for growth or with PVA glue and scatter the fibers straight into it. To make them stand upright rather than lie down, an electrostatic applicator is used; without one the fibers stay lying, which is of use only for trampled or mown grass. Work in smaller sections, because glue spread over a large area dries before you can cover it. Once dry, vacuum or tap off the surplus and use it again. Credibility comes from mixing: combine this shade with shorter fibers and with greener tones, because a uniform area of one shade looks like a carpet.
The grass flock is supplied on its own. The glue, the applicator and a base are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
