Endkampf, Berlin 1945 (two figures) is a set of two figures in 1:35 scale with the subject of the closing fighting for Berlin in 1945.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of two figures in 1:35 scale from a range devoted to the close of the fighting for Berlin in the spring of 1945. It is not a kit of equipment, nor finished painted figures, but a set to assemble and paint. The count of two figures is given directly in the name of the set. Scale 1:35 matches the most common size of military vehicle models, so the figures can be joined with equipment and with diorama set pieces of urban buildings.
Fighting in a built-up setting at the end of the war means for a modeler a scene with ruins, rubble and improvised positions. A pair of figures suits exactly such a scene, because they hold a relation to one another and the scene does not look static. Check the particular unit and the armament on the box.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Remove the mold seams and the casting marks with a sharp knife and polish them with fine sandpaper. Check the assembly dry; with a pair of figures it is worth planning in advance how they will stand in relation to one another on the base. Apply a base coat before painting. Build the uniforms by layering, through a darker wash into the folds and a lighter highlight on the edges, leave the faces to the end and work in thin coats. Dust and debris from the rubble can be suggested with a fine pigment on the boots and the lower parts. Unify the surface with a matte varnish at the end.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
