Scale 1:35 matches the most common scale of armor models, so you can set the figure easily beside a finished model or into a diorama.
The summer of 1944 in Normandy is among the most frequently modeled periods. A crew figure gives a model of an armored vehicle scale and a story: a figure by the turret, on the hull or beside the vehicle shows the size of the equipment at once and brings a static scene to life. The uniforms of tank crews differ from infantry ones in cut and in accessories, which is the main distinguishing element when painting.
First try the parts together dry and only then glue them. Remove the mold seams and the sprue gate remains with a scalpel, a fine file and a sanding sponge, otherwise the imperfections will be emphasized once painted. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts: super glue on resin castings, thin plastic cement on injection-molded plastic. Apply a thin base coat, then paint the skin and the face, then the uniform in layers and finally the small accessories. Transitions on fabric are handled well by oil paints, while acrylics suit quick layering. At the end, seat the figure so that it sits on the surface without a gap, filling the joint if need be.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
