An accessory to the modular AK interactive desk organizing system which, according to the name, belongs at the edge of a work top. It is not a holder for paints or for tools but a part with which the arrangement is finished off at the edge of the bench. It therefore makes sense only once you have some of the holders in this range or are buying them at the same time.

Why the edge of a bench is worth dealing with

The edge of a work top is the most treacherous place on a modeling bench. It is from there that bottles fall, small parts roll off, and things get put down that do not belong there. The edge part of the system is the answer to that situation: it closes the arrangement off at the edge and turns it into a defined whole instead of a loose row of boxes.

Part of a modular range

The manufacturer makes a whole set of parts in the same system: holders for paints, for brushes, for masking tape and for weathering products, palettes, stands and connectors. An arrangement is put together from them according to the shape of your own bench. This piece is an accessory, not a foundation: buy it when you are tuning an arrangement, not as a first purchase.

Use

• Lay the parts out dry on the top before you join the arrangement up; you will see at once where you need the edge.
• Do not put heavy or tall pieces on the edge, as they are easily knocked off by a sleeve.
• Keep the things you use most in the middle of the arrangement within arm's reach, and leave the edge for what you pick up less often.
• Check the exact way it attaches and the thickness of top it fits on the box.

Who the part is for

For modelers who already use one of the holders in this range and want to tune the arrangement to the shape of their bench. For anyone starting out with the system, it is better to buy a holder for what they actually use first.

The accessory is supplied on its own. Holders, paints and tools are not part of it.
