DUAL EXO 21B – GUN METAL 60ML.

Dual Exo 21B Gun Metal, acrylic paint, 60 ml

An acrylic paint from the AK interactive brand, from the Dual Exo range. The shade carries the name Gun Metal, that is a dark metal tone, and it dries to a satin, that is semi-gloss, finish. There is 60 ml in the container.

Mixing before use is essential with dark metal tones

Whether the paint has a metal pigment or not, with this type of shade one rule goes double: mix it, and properly. Heavier particles settle at the bottom when standing, and paint taken from the upper part of the bottle then gives a different result from paint from the bottom. A short shake is not enough; allow a good while and expect to mix between individual parts as well. If it is a shade with a metal look, a smooth, unified base is useful in addition, because metal areas reveal every irregularity, and it should be applied at the end of the work, because such shades are harder to mask and to paint over.

Use

• Mix the paint thoroughly and repeatedly, during the work as well.
• Apply thin coats with a brush or an airbrush.
• Dark metal tones look best on a smooth, well prepared base.
• Leave areas with a metal look for the end, as they are harder to mask.
• Clean the tools immediately after working with a product for acrylic paints.

Who the paint is for

For modelers looking for a dark metal tone with a satin sheen for equipment, armament, mechanical parts or science fiction subjects. The 60 ml volume suits repeated use as well.
