An acrylic modeling paint from the AK interactive brand. From the name follow its membership of the scenic Dual Exo Scenery subrange, the name of the shade Dark Brick and a volume of 60 ml. The dried coat stays satin, that is semi-gloss.

Working with a brush on a busy surface

On areas with pronounced texture a brush often does a better job than an airbrush, because you get the paint exactly where you want it. Choose a brush with firmer bristles and stipple the paint into the texture rather than spreading it, as that fills even the recesses a stroke would miss. Work in smaller sections and do not let the edge of a coat dry in the middle of an area, otherwise a visible transition appears. Always wipe the remaining paint off the brush onto paper first.

Use

• Mix the paint before working, as the pigment sinks to the bottom of the bottle.
• On textured areas stipple the paint into the relief rather than spreading it.
• Work in smaller sections, so that no visible transitions appear.
• Apply thin coats and repeat them if need be, until you are happy with the result.
• Wash the brushes right after working, as dried acrylic is hard to remove from them.
• Deal with thinning and the drying time according to the label.
