Dark Wood, AK interactive acrylic paint, 60 ml

An acrylic modeling paint from the AK interactive brand. The name carries the designation of the scenic Dual Exo Scenery subrange, the name of the shade Dark Wood and a volume of 60 ml. It is a coating with a satin, that is semi-gloss, finish.

Airbrush and masking

When spraying acrylic, less is more. Several light passes give a more even area than one generous application, which tends to run over the edges and fill the engraving in. When you bound an area with masking tape, stick it down only firmly enough to hold and spray from the edge inwards, which limits seepage under the tape. Take the tape off while the coat is freshly dried, not after a longer time, when the film can already tear. Flush the airbrush out as soon as you finish.

Use

• Mix the paint, as with acrylics the pigment sinks to the bottom of the bottle.
• Spray in several light passes, not in one thick coat.
• At masked edges direct the stream from the edge inwards.
• Take the mask off while the coat is fresh.
• Flush the airbrush out right after working, as dried acrylic is harder to remove from the nozzle.
• Deal with thinning and the drying time according to the details on the label.

Who the paint is for

For modelers who build scenic bases and want a particular shade from the AK interactive range in a semi-gloss form. A sixty-milliliter container allows for the fact that more paint is used up on scenic areas.
