Bracken fern 1:45 / 1:48

A scenic accessory for dioramas, not a model. From laser-cut parts of fine colored paper you assemble clumps of bracken, the common woodland fern with its characteristically divided fronds. The scale matches 1:45 and 1:48.

Use

  • Cut the individual fronds out of the fret and shape them into a natural curve.
  • Glue the clumps onto the terrain with super glue or PVA glue.
  • Combine them with undergrowth and fallen leaves for a believable forest floor.
  • The shades can be refined with acrylic or oil paints.

For creators of woodland and European dioramas in 1:45 and 1:48 scale who want realistic low fern growth.
