The Meteor T.7 was the two-seat trainer version of the first British jet fighter. It came about by lengthening the forward part of the fuselage to take two seats in tandem under a single extended canopy, and it is precisely that canopy which is the most noticeable mark of the version. Power came from a pair of Rolls-Royce Derwent 8 turbojets in nacelles on the wing, as on the fighter versions. T.7 machines served to convert pilots onto jet equipment and a number of them stayed in service even after the combat Meteors were withdrawn.
The long two-seat canopy is the most exposed part of the build: mask it carefully, because the framing consists of many narrow strips and a careless mask shows at first sight. Finish and paint the inside of both cockpits before closing the fuselage. Align the engine nacelles so that the wing stays level. Try the parts dry and sand the mating surfaces down as needed. Apply gloss varnish under the decals and finish the model with a varnish of the degree of sheen you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
