This is a colored decal set for the interior of a model of the F-15 in 1:32 scale in the small version, intended according to the name for the late forms of the F-15C and the late F-15J. It is not a kit or a finished model but an accessory that is applied to model parts which have already been built and painted. The target kit is the Tamiya one.
The F-15 Eagle is a twin-engine fighter that stayed in service for many decades and went through a number of upgrades. The late forms differ from the early ones above all in cockpit equipment — which is why makers of decal sets offer an early and a late variant separately. The F-15J is the licensed Japanese form of the type.
The key is a glossy and smooth base. Paint the part, overcoat it with gloss varnish and let it cure. Release the decal after about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water, place it, align it and blot up the excess water. Do not use a decal softener or setting solution; their chemicals would damage the printed resin and ruin the element, and do not touch the set until it has dried. Once dry, unify the surface with varnish in the degree of sheen you want.
The set replaces the flat kit parts — a colored print with a three-dimensional impression takes the place of painting tiny details and unifies the overall look of the interior. Degrease the plastic before application and sand down any coarse relief, so that the decal settles without bubbles.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
