A set of 3D printed and color-finished decals on decal paper from Quinta Studio for a detailed cockpit of a two-seat F/A-18B model in 1:48 scale. This is the compact (smaller) variant aimed at the main elements of the cockpits. It is not a kit but an accessory: relief decals replace flat instrument panels and consoles and give the interior a three-dimensional, colored look. The target kit is Hasegawa.
The F/A-18B is the two-seat training and combat version of the McDonnell Douglas Hornet carrier-borne multi-role aircraft. The rear cockpit serves for training while the aircraft keeps the combat capability of the base version. The Hornet became the backbone of the carrier aviation of the US Navy and of a number of allies.
Release the decals after about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and transfer them to the cleaned parts of both cockpits coated with gloss varnish. Do not use a softener or a setting solution, as they attack the printed resin; a matte varnish will unify the surface at the end. With two cockpits involved we recommend careful dry-fitting before the fuselage is closed up.
A separate detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included.
